GPCC to take out ‘Jan Aashirvaad yatra’ to highlight alleged ‘misgovernance and failure’ of the state BJP govt
The Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Wednesday announced to take out ‘Jan Aashirvaad yatra’ from Umargam in South gujarat to Ambaji in the north Gujarat to highlight alleged “misgovernance and failure” of the state BJP government to mobilise masses in its favour in view of the forthcoming local bodies elections. But the party’s failure to decide about the exact dates of the yatra spoke volumes about the problem of indecisive in the main opposition party. The decision to launch yatra was taken at a state level meeting of the party leaders from across the state, including district and taluka party chiefs. The meeting was called to discuss about the selection of candidates for the forthcoming local bodies polls to be held in October-Novemeber as also the electoral issues to be raised during the yatra as also during poll campaigns. Addressing the party leaders, GPCC president Bharatsinh Solanki said the yatra would highlight the problems being faced by the people and rampant corruption in the state government.
