Give jobs to disabled: Congress

Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee has demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is going to distribute kits to the persons with disability at a function in Navsari on Saturday, should first make provisions for government jobs for the disabled in the state.
Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi said that in 2008 several non-government organizations had raised objection to the policies of the then chief minister, Narendra Modi, and had demanded that three percent reservation be made for the disabled candidates in various ad hoc appointments of the state government offices.
He said that the BJP should not spend huge money behind organizing events to distribute kits, instead it should use the same money for the welfare of the disabled in the state.
