Gujarat Congress says PM should have spoken on groundnut scam
GPCC president Amit Chavda on Thursday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence over the Rs 4000-crore groundnut scam. “We welcome the PM to Gujarat. But, he should speak on the Rs 4000-crore groundnut scam,” said Chavda.
He said the PM’s silence in the Rafale deal with Anil Ambani is also under cloud of suspicion and he should clear it.
Farmers across the state were reeling under debt but the PM had not made any announcement of farm loan waiver, he said.
He said that before coming to power, PM Modi had promised to be a game changer. But, this, instead, turned out to be a government of name changes. “They have just renamed the schemes of earlier governments,” said Chavda.
