Congress threatens stir if cases against Patidar leaders not withdrawn

Siddharth Patel said: “The Congress will protect the Patidar youth from the government atrocities.”

In a quid pro quo move given the advantage it got from the mobilisation of anti-BJP Patidar votes in the recently concluded elections, the Gujarat Congress Saturday demanded “immediate withdrawal of the cases registered against Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convener Hardik Patel and his associates”.

Addressing media persons Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee president Bharatsinh Solanki and senior party leader Siddharth Patel declared to launch an agitation against the state government if the cases against PAAS leaders were not withdrawn.

“We will launch agitation against the state government if the cases against PAAS leaders are not withdrawn immediately,” the two Congress leaders said. However, they did not give any specific time-frame about launching the agitation.
