Under the leadership of Anandiben Patel, Gujarat is safer than many other states: Vaghela

The BJP-led Gujarat Govt criticised The Leader of the Opposition in Gujarat Assembly, Shankersinh Vaghela who has been blaming the state government for allegedly failing to protect the people and warned the government of dire consequences.

Gujarat Health and Family Welfare Minister Nitin Patel and Finance Minister Saurabh Patel alleged in a press release issued that the Congress is blowing a small issue out of proportion for political gains.

Replying to Vaghela’s earlier allegations about Gujarat’s law and order situation, They were referring to recent incidents in Ahmedabad and Kheda districts where villagers clashed with the police.

These villagers panicked after rumours that gangs of robbers have entered their area. After these incidents, Vaghela and other Congress leaders criticised the government for failing to control the situation.

the release stated, Gujarat still remembers how farmers were shot at during Congress rule in the state. Congress did everything to crush farmers’ interests.

BJP government uplifted them from such a miserable condition and gave them a respectable life. The ministers asked the Congress to stop using small incidents for political gain by inciting people.

They claimed that contrary to Congress claims, under the leadership of Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, Gujarat is safer than many other states.

A week ago, Gujrat Congress alleged that BJP-led Gujarat Government is spreading “political terrorism” by thrashing villagers in those areas which are traditional Congress strongholds.

Shankersinh Vaghela, who represents Kapadvanj seat of Kheda district, took on the state government on the issue of scuffle between locals and police at Apruji-na-Muvada village of adjoining Kheda days back. To control angry villagers, police had fired at least 15 rounds.

“Atrocities on poor villagers took place in my constituency. This BJP-led government is intentionally spreading political terrorism in Congress pockets to hide their inability. Since this area is a Congress stronghold, villagers are being thrashed out of vindictiveness,” alleged Vaghela talking to reporters here today.

He then pointed out to a larger problem of panic in many villages of Kheda, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar due to rumours since one month. As per the rumour, gangs of robbers and terrorists have entered into their area and attacking villagers during night.

According to Vaghela, villagers are now forced to remain awake all through the night out of panic. ”Though the government knew that such a rumour has gripped the minds of villagers, the administration did nothing to restore order.
