MODI IS ‘PARIDHANMANTRI’: RAJ BABBAR

Campaigning for Congress candidate in the upcoming local body polls, party spokesperson and MP Raj Babbar in Vadodara on Wednesday claimed that “Dal, Dalit and Dadri” is sure to lead to a Bihar-like situation in the state and mark the end of BJP regime. He added that the 2017 elections will also put the final nail in the coffin of RSS and BJP as the promises they made to the public remain a distant dream. During his brief visit, Babbar accused the BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for neglecting Vadodara from where he won by a record margin.

He reminded all of the promises Modi had made of cleaning and improving the Vishwamitri river, considered to be the Ganga of Vadodara, and later how the situation remains dismal. “In the last decade, I had visited Vadodara a number of times and every time I see the river, I had felt sad. The condition of the river had worsened in BJP rule. While the ruling party has done everything possible to neglect it, Congress has done everything possible to develop the city,” said Babbar. On the Patidar support to the Congress, the MP said the reason behind the community’s agitation against the BJP is quite clear

. “The Patidars began raising their voices against the BJP in Gujarat as they were unhappy and tired of its fake promises. Had the BJP been concerned about the mass, they would have aptly controlled the situation in state and 10 innocent people would not have had to lose their lives. Besides this, it is because of BJP that an innocent youth (Hardik Patel) is behind the bars,” added Babbar.
