Gujarat govt misusing public money, says Shankersinh Vaghela

The Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Shankersinh Vaghela Tuesday said that while public debt on the state had increased to Rs 1,65,742 crore over the years, the BJP government in the state was misusing the public money since 2002 by holding non-productive programmes like “Patangotsav”, “Ranotsav”, “Gunotsav”, “Navratri” and other programmes.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Vaghela said that BJP leaders seemed to be not worried about accumulating public debt on the people of the state and the rising inflation and that was why they were every year holding programmes that did not bring any good to the people of the state.

“It is because of the immature leadership and corrupt administration that the state has now slipped to 18th position in extending Panchayati Raj benefits to the people of the state,” alleged Vaghela.
