Gujarat Congress MLAs to donate 1 month salary to Army
Condemning the terrorist attack on Uri, Gujarat Congress fired salvoes at the Centre’s diplomacy and foreign policy on Monday, while pledging a month’s salary of all Cong MLAs towards Army Welfare Fund. The early morning terrorist attack in Uri on Sunday has left at least 18 soldiers dead. All four terrorists, suspected to be Jaish-e-Muhammed operatives, were killed in counterattack by troops stationed at the Indian army base.
Leader of opposition (LOP) in the state assembly, Shankersinh Vaghela, said, “The attack in Uri, coming even before the blood spilled by our soldiers in the Pathankotattack has dried, exposes the central government’s directionless and ignorant diplomatic policies.”
