Congress leader Siddharth Patel demands state to be declared drought-hit

Former state Congress president, Siddharth Patel has asked to declare the state as drought-hit following the failure of the monsoon this season. In a statement released on Saturday, he demanded that the government should waive off the electricity bills for agriculture as also irrigation levy for the current season. The Congress leader also demanded total waiving off interest on agirculture loan for the current year as farmers have lost their crops due to failure of monsoons.
