A Budget full of illusions : Shankersinh Vaghela

The BJP government has been using the budget, which puts middle class citizens of state in an illusion. Gujarat is lagging behind in education and health sectors, which have completely broken down in the state. Even as the government is celebrating the year as The Year of Youth, there are over 10 lakh educated unemployed in the state, while the number of unregistered jobless is even higher. The government is exploiting the educated resources by its policy of paying fixed pay to them. These employees should be regularized with all perks. The government is deliberately hiding the findings of Gunotsav, which depicts a poor picture of the status of education in the state. The government had earlier claimed that Sardar Sarovar project will be completed in 2010 and with just a nominal increase in the allocation for the scheme this year, the government is trying to show as if it has taken a major step.
