In preparation for the upcoming budget session in the state assembly, leader of opposition, Shankersinh Vaghela called for a meeting of all Congress MLAs on Tuesday. The meeting witnessed a discussion on raising issues in the house during the budget session, concerned with the functioning of the BJP government. The Congress members also decided to introduce a private member bill for economic reservation, for consideration in the house.

Speaking with media, Vaghela said, “We had gathered to discuss issues to be raised in the upcoming state assembly budget session. Issues such as corruption in the BJP, introducing the private member bill on economic reservation, water crisis in Saurashtra, deteriorating law and order situation in the state, price hikes affecting the poor as well as rural and urban public will be raised through issue-based strategy”.
