Cong questions CM’s statement about ‘no injustice’ to youth in Gujarat

Questioning the chief minister Anandiben Patel’s statement about no injustice done to the youth of the state, the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) raised a number of questions and has dared the CM to answer them. The GPCC also criticised the CM’s comment to youth about first qualifying for a job and than asking for one.

Manish Doshi, the GPCC spokesperson raised about 11 issues and asked whether stopping recruitment in government colleges, institutions and departments meant justice for the youth. Doshi also raised the issues of scams, partiality and discrepancies in the results of various recruitment processes including that of talatis, Gujarat Public Services Commission, and for the posts of PSI, ASI and LRD. He also brought up poor salaries of Vidya Sahayaks, besides other issues, and pointed out that closing down of government-run educational institutions and grant-in-aid institutions has made education in the state costlier.

Regarding various discrepancies and corruption in the examination results, Doshi said that the youth of the state have made umpteen attempts to have them rectified and sorted out by representations to the government as well as the vigilance commission. The result is zero, nothing has been done regarding those.

Doshi said, “At a time when the youths of the state from every caste and community have been deprived of good education and employment, and have become frustrated because of that, the chief minister should answer where is justice being done and who has benefited out of it?”
