#TrainTragedy: Bharatsinh Solanki offers condolences to families of victims

Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Bharatsinh Solanki expressed his deepest condolences to the families of those who had lost their lives in the twin train mishap in Madhya Pradesh late on Tuesday night.

“Derailment of two trains in Madhya Pradesh is a very tragic incident. My deepest condolences with the families who lost their loved ones”

Twin back-to-back train derailment took place at the same spot in Madhya Pradesh around midnight on Tuesday, killing at least 31 people.

Kamayani Express, which runs between Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus station to Varanasi Junction in Uttar Pradesh, was derailed around midnight near Khiriya village in Harda district, about 160 km from here, Superintendent of Police Prem Babu Sharma told IANS.

He added that “two-four bogies of the train have fallen into the Machak river and due to rain and darkness it may take hours to confirm the casualties”.

The Indian Railways on Wednesday said a compensation of Rs 2 lakh will given to the family of the deceased while Rs 50, 000 will be given to those critically injured.

Indian Railways Public Relation Officer (PRO) Anil Saxena Said, “12 have died and 25 were injured in Madhya Pradesh twin train derailment. The Railway Minister has expressed condolences to family of deceased.”

“He has announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to family of deceased,Rs 50,000 to critically injured & Rs 25000 to injured,” he added.
